Non recyclable waste that is currently being landfilled will be sent to this unique and advanced facility and converted into electricity and heat to be used in the abattoir process.
Currently the energy requirement for the abattoir comes from fossil fuel based sources. The waste to energy facility would be able to provide all heat and base-load electrical energy needs through the thermal conversion of the waste into a synthetic gas. This synthetic gas is then sent to a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit where it is converted into both electricity and heat.
The only residue is ash which will then be converted into brick – achieving a zero waste to landfill solution for our clients’ waste.
